An ETF is a type of investment vehicle that is similar to a mutual fund because it can provide diversification, but instead of buying and selling shares from the fund, you can buy or sell shares on an exchange, like a stock. Each share of an ETF can provide investors access to different passive or active investment strategies across stocks, bonds and alternative investments.
